Major areas of peatlands were delineated in the 1970s Geological Survey of Canada surficial maps (1: 250 000 scale) generated for the Mackenzie valley corridor. A database and map were developed by the authors, based on information from the 1970s maps and some new air photo interpretation. Dataset consists of i) a digital peatland database, distributed in ARC/EXPORT format (e00) and ESRI Shape format (shp), found under the directory/folder "data", ii) an ESRI plot file (gra) and an Acrobat document (pdf) of the Peatlands of the Mackenzie Valley Map, called “peatmap” found under the directory/folder "pub", iii) a readme file in HTML and ASCII formats at the root directory/folder level.
