Colville Lake Native Place Names
From author, " The map included in both editions of my book, THE TRAIL OF THE HARE, accurately reproduces a hand drawn map that was made for me in the village of Colville Lake during the winter of 1967-1968. A number of the young men in the community collaborated to make the schematic map, and provide me with both the English and native place names that accompany it. We checked the place names with some of the community elders in order to try to make them as accurate as possible."
