CanVec -Vegetation data for Canada

The CanVec product will be maintained in partnership with the organizations providing the data. CanVec is scheduled to be published by edition (or release) twice a year. Wooded area (Area covered by trees or shrubs.) Cut line (A line cut through a forest area to facilitate cadastral or seismic surveys, or to create firebreaks.)

Derived fro the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) sensor operating on board the United States National Oceanic and Atmosphereic Administration (NOAA) satelites. Vegetation and land cover information set has been classified into twelve categories. It is broken down by provinces, territories, and regions.
